Child Play, the complete children's drama program - "children can do everything "

About Us

Child Players ACT is coming into its fifth year of operation. It is a family run children's amateur theatre group that has developed drama-based programs for children aged between 8 and 18. The main program run every year is Child Play a six -month program for children aged between 10-16, with a major theatre production in the July school holidays each year. The Child Play group has produced high quality children's theatre productions including James and the Giant Peach in 2008, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in  2009 and Peter Pan in 2010. Other programs run by Child Players ACT have included two-week school holiday drama programs, Improvisation and Theatre Skills training, Hating Alison Ashley in January 2009 and, for the first time in 2010, a teen play production of Mort by Child Play graduates.

There are still some places available for our two-week drama program in January 2011 which culminates in theatre productions of Pinocchio. Our Child Play production in 2011 will be The Jungle Book. The Child Play program for 2011 is fully subscribed and a waiting list has been established for our 2012 program.
